Technical Details
This addition curing silicone is a two-part system - a base and catalyst - that is required to work together in order to create the casting mold.
Attributes:
- Longer working time
- Longer cure time
- Considerably more accurate
- Stable
- Resistant to high temperatures
- Resistant to chemicals
PLEASE NOTE: IT IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CURE INHIBITION:
This occurs when curing is slowed or prevented or sets in a non-satisfactory way due to contaminants or presence of substances that work against the product. Such as:
- Latex
- Sulphur
- Some plasticisers
If this happens, use Isopropyl Alcohol to remove the uncured silicone.
To avoid any of this happening, all surfaces and materials must be clean and free of any contaminants.
